Kaikaluru Residents Want Merger Back into Krishna Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: Villagers from Peddapalaparru and Koduru have appealed to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to merge Kaikaluru Assembly Constituency back into Krishna district, recalling his election promise to restore the area to its original jurisdiction. They said the reorganisation of districts had severely affected administrative access. Gudivada, the nearest revenue division, is only 5–7 km away, while Machilipatnam, the Krishna district headquarters, is 30 km away. After being moved to Eluru district, however, both the revenue division and headquarters are nearly 70 km away.Villagers said that although they now fall under Eluru district, their properties, services and children’s education remain tied to Krishna district. This mismatch, they noted, is causing difficulties in documentation, certificate verification, job applications and overseas travel. Kaikaluru MLA Kamineni Srinivas had written to the cabinet sub-committee seeking the constituency’s merger back into Krishna district, and the proposal was accepted. However, during Tuesday’s district reorganisation discussions, the issue was set aside, deeply disappointing the villagers. The residents said that being part of Krishna district is not only an administrative necessity but also a matter of identity and self-respect. If a full merger is not possible, they are urging that at least Peddapalaparru and Koduru be retained within Krishna district. https://www.deccanchronicle.com/southern-states/andhra-pradesh/kaikaluru-residents-want-merger-back-into-krishna-1919798

AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu releases second tranche of Annadata Sukhibava-PM Kisan funds to farmers

Chandrababu Naidu has stated that the farmers will never face any distress as long as the ‘double engine sarkar’ is in power at the Centre as well as in the state.Speaking after distributing the second tranche of funds under ‘Annadata Sukheebhava PM Kisan’ to farmers at Pendlimarri in Kamalapuram constituency of Kadapa district here on Wednesday, he appealed to them to quit the age-old practices and use modern technology to bring down the cost of cultivation as well as achieve better yield. He also suggested the use of natural farming methods to conserve soil fertility.Hinting at the travails faced during the previous regime in the state, he said that some governments will not help the farming community, but the NDA regime will certainly bail out farmers in distress.“During such governments, the farmers will have to face trouble if they don’t rise up to the occasion and stand on their own legs”. Thanks to the ‘double engine sarkar’, farmers will not be let down.Naidu also told the farmers to think beyond the regular cultivation and go for food processing and value addition in order to make farming remunerative.
